In June, Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival celebrated the release of its revamped Jacob's Pillow Dance Interactive online program and the reopening of Blake's Barn, home to the Pillow's extensive dance archives. The renovated Barn now includes a reading room, video editing tools and expanded archival storage, in addition to its tens of thousands of photographs, hundreds of boxes of correspondence, 9,000 films and nearly 30 trunks of costumes—all available for visitors to explore.
In honor of the newly expanded Barn, the Pillow restaged Antony Tudor's 1952 ballet Trio Con Brio with the New York Theatre Ballet using a silent, 16-millimeter film from its archives. It was the first performance in more than 60 years.
