News: Black Swan

Black Swan, in U.S. theaters December 3, is a psychological thriller that brings new meaning to getting lost in a role. The film, directed by Darren Aronofsky (Requiem for a Dream, The Wrestler), tells the story of ballerina Nina (Natalie Portman), who gets caught up in the rivalry of ballet company life and the struggle to embody both the White and Black Swans in a production of Swan Lake. Benjamin Millepied’s choreography and Rodarte’s costumes are beautiful, but don’t bring young students for inspiration. This dark, twisted film is best reserved for more mature audiences.
