A few years ago I pulled my hamstring. Ever since then I've had trouble with it. How do you heal from a pulled hamstring?
Strained hamstring muscles can be very difficult to recover from. Most people continue to walk (or hobble) after a muscle strain, which can set up compensation problems that continue long after the muscle should have healed. Resting and stretching are very important, and sometimes deep-tissue work or myofascial massage can help to break up adhesions and restrictions after the initial healing period. It's a good idea to have a full-body massage and explore where the lines of tension or restrictions are in your body, and then focus your stretching and strengthening efforts to address what was found.
