Starting today, dance fans everywhere can help create Diablo Ballet's newest work and the world's first web ballet. By Tweeting at the northern California-based company @DiabloBallet and using the hashtag #DiabloWebBallet, all are invited to share ideas on the dancers' emotions, overall mood of the ballet and any specific dance moves. You can even vote on the music selection by visiting the company's YouTube page. Though company member Robert Dekkers (a 2011 Dance Magazine "25 to Watch") will ultimately piece together the final product for a March 1 premiere, this ballet is truly a group effort.
Submissions end February 14th, so get your students together today to send in your ideas as a studio. Let us know what you come up with. Happy Tweeting!
