A New Houston Arts Hub

Rice University opens the new Moody Center for the Arts, located in the heart of the Houston, Texas, campus. The space includes a 150-seat black box theater, performance gallery and studio classrooms, to serve artists in dance, music, visual arts, film and media arts. Five new interdisciplinary courses for undergraduates will be added: Creativity Up Close; Visualizing Nature, Art and Environment: Reef Ecologies; Medical Media Arts Lab; and Monster: Conceiving and Misconceiving the Monstrous in Fiction and the Biosciences in Medicine and Art.
