Using Puppy Stage Cameos to Promote Adoption
October 23, 2012

Over the weekend, a quartet of four-legged dancers made their stage debut at the sold-out annual VelocityDC Dance Festival. The seven-week-old Chihuahua/pug mix puppy mill rescues had “walk-on” roles in the opening number of each performance. Lucky fans even got the chance to have autuographs “signed” by the furry show-stealers in the lobby of Washington, D.C.’s Sidney Harman Hall.

After their weekend appearances, Poppins, Purell, Pumpernickel, and Potpie went up for adoption at the Washington Animal Rescue League, where they are certain to be snapped up quicker than two pairs of NYC Fall for Dance tickets!

What a great idea for using performance to promote a cause. Check out “Feel-Good Fundraising” for more.
