We've been doing some Instagram stalking (as is customary for everyone not living under a rock these days), and we've come to the conclusion that dancers are the best people in the world to follow on social media. Yes, they have gorgeous photos of out-of-this-world arabesques, and it's true their endless pirouettes are mesmerizing, but what really brought us to this bold conclusion is the fact that they also post adorable photos of their pets. This week Ballet Hispánico launched its first ChoreoLaB workshop, a summer intensive intended to better prepare aspiring professional dancers—with more than just excellent technique. Artistic director Eduardo Vilaro wanted to create a program that bridges the school and the company, to help dancers transitioning into the professional world and better hone their skills.
