Two weeks ago, our Dance Teacher Summit ambassador Robin Dawn Ryan celebrated a major milestone in the life of a dance studio owner: 40 years! (And we all know that dance studio owner years are sort of like dog years, so that means 40 years really equals something like 75 years, right?)
On June 13, Ryan—whose studio, Robin Dawn Academy of Performing Arts is located in Cape Coral, Florida—produced “For the Love of Dance: Celebrating 40 Years” at North Fort Myers High School. Of course, a celebration this big needed some studio star power, so 60 alumni dancers, ages 20 to 50 (!), joined Ryan onstage for a special number. Not to mention the 135 alumni who contributed heartfelt testimonials, praising Ryan’s teaching.
What about your studio? Did you celebrate a milestone recital this year? We’d love to hear (and see!) all about it. Let us know in the comments, or tag us in your photos on Facebook (@Dance Teacher), Instagram (@danceteachermagazine) or Twitter (@Dance_Teacher).
