News: Cynthia Gregory Coaches in Las Vegas
January 3, 2011

Former American Ballet Theatre star Cynthia Gregory is now artistic advisor to the Nevada Ballet Theatre and its affiliated academy. Her Cynthia Gregory Center for Coaching opened in October at NBT’s Las Vegas studios, where professional dancers, pre-professionals and students can enroll for private coaching sessions.
Known for her clean lines and unbelievably long balances, Gregory retired from ABT in 1991 after 26 years and has been staging works and coaching dancers for companies and schools nationwide.

“I’m lucky to have found this wonderful new home,” Gregory says. “I think many dancers don’t realize the importance of coaching. I have worked with many wonderful people—George Balanchine, Agnes de Mille, Antony Tudor, Jerome Robbins—and I can now be the direct connection between them and these dancers.” Info: www.nevadaballet.org
