Jacob's Pillow, the historic Becket, Massachusetts–based dance festival established by Ted Shawn in the 1930s, has announced the construction of a new permanent dance studio. The 3,500-square-foot Perles Family Studio will house the year-round School at Jacob's Pillow and provide additional performance space during the annual Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival each summer. Construction is underway, and the studio is set for completion at the end of the 2017 festival.
