If you have a television, access to a newspaper, a Facebook news feed or even just a pulse, you know that the 2016 Olympic Games are officially underway in Rio. And everybody is particularly excited about the U.S. women’s gymnastics team (in a way that maybe no one has been since the 1996 Games—or, as I like to call them, The Kerri Strug Games.) Who is everyone most excited about? Simone Biles, the most decorated American female gymnast in World Championships history.
Biles—who just qualified for the all-around final with her teammate Aly Raisman—has a pretty stellar floor routine. OK, so this isn’t dance, technically, but there are definitely dance moves in there! I spy a switch leap, a reverse hinge fall and a particularly impressive one-legged floor pirouette.
