The School at Steps in New York City kicks off its annual “Complete Dancer Series” next month with a brand-new event: an “Ask the Pros” panel discussion on November 17 at 6:30 pm. (In our November issue, we incorrectly printed the time for this event as 6 pm; please note that the panel discussion actually begins at 6:30 pm.) Professional dancers from various disciplines, including ballet, Broadway and concert dance will answer questions and share stories of their training and dance experiences. Confirmed panelists for the evening include Kurt Froman (Black Swan associate choreographer and Billy Elliot resident choreographer); Paloma Garcia-Lee (Broadway performer); Tiler Peck (New York City Ballet principal); and a Rockette. This event, sponsored by Dance Magazine, is a great way to get the inside scoop on how to succeed in the highly competitive professional dance world.
