The Big Apple is crawling with summer dance students, many attending the Joffrey Ballet School, the largest summer intensive in the country. Founded by Robert Joffrey and Gerald Arpino in 1953, JBS turned 60 on Monday.
As part of its five-month birthday celebration, the organization has launched a video series on the brand-new Joffrey Ballet School channel on dancemedia.com. Now through October, a new video will premiere every week, highlighting the summer intensives in the U.S. and abroad and giving viewers an inside look at the student experience.
