$25,000 Dance Award for Dorrance

Michelle Dorrance reaches new heights as the first tapper to receive the Jacob's Pillow Dance AwardFollowing her spectacular January performance at Dancespace Project, the unstoppable Michelle Dorrance was recognized in The New York Times as tap’s most promising choreographer. And the good news keeps coming: This summer, Dorrance will receive the annual Jacob’s Pillow Dance Award, with $25,000 to advance her artistic career. As the seventh recipient, she joins the ranks of heavy-hitters like Merce Cunningham, Bill T. Jones and Crystal Pite. It seems the sky's the limit for this talented tapper. We love watching her soar!
