This month’s K–12 column explores the Dance Talent Assessment Process, a system developed by arts education expert Barry Oreck to help teachers spot and nurture talented dancers. Most often used to assess public school children with no formal dance training, the system can help teachers look past previously held notions about dance talent to identify natural movers.
