Come Dance at my Wedding—One dance teacher’s choice to sell her studio
by Courtney Rae Allen
If you’re looking to relax this weekend, tune into the Hallmark Channel this Saturday for the 9 p.m. (ET) premiere of Come Dance at my Wedding—a heart-warming film about one dance teacher’s discovery when she decides to sell her studio.
Just weeks away from marrying her fiancé Zach Callahan (Christopher Jacot), main character Cyd Merriman (Brooke Nevin) decides to sell her family’s long-time dance studio to a real estate developer to move into what she feels is a more ambitious career path—high-end retail. But her lawyer and family friend, Laura Williams (Roma Downey) reveals a twist: Cyd’s presumed-dead father, Tanner Grey (John Schneider) is alive, and is the only person entitled to the business left to her by her late mother.
Sympathize as the estranged father and daughter reconnect while teaching dance together, and Cyd makes a choice between moving on with her life or preserving the small town of Gracie, New York’s cherished Merriman Dance Studio—this film is guaranteed to tug at your emotional heartstrings.
If you happen to miss the first showing, don’t worry, there are several repeat performances on June 7, 12 and 13. Check out www.hallmarkchannel.com/publish/consumer/home.html for more info and behind-the-scenes footage.
