NDEO Announces Thom Cobb Memorial Scholarship, Deadline March 15
March 13, 2017

When the National Dance Education Organization president (2013–2016) Thom Cobb suddenly passed away in December 2016, the dance world suffered a major loss. Despite retiring from teaching in 2013, Cobb was a beloved faculty member at the Dance Teacher Summit and maintained a strong presence in the dance community.

In honor of him, the Thom Cobb Memorial Fund was established, and due to the generous outpouring of contributions, NDEO has announced the Thom Cobb Memorial Scholarship.

To be considered:

  • Applicants must be first-time NDEO conference attendees and working dance education professionals. (Preference will be given to current NDEO members.)
  • The recipient will receive free registration for the 2017 National Conference in San Antonio, Texas, OR the 2017 Men in Dance Conference in West Virginia. Plus, they receive a stay at the conference hotel for the duration of either conference.

The deadline is March 15, 2017.
