NCI Premieres Four Ballets from Emerging Choreographers

The National Choreographers Initiative will present the work of ballet choreographers Nicolas Blanc, Norbert De La Cruz III, Jimmy Orrante and Sarah Tallman this month. The choreographers were given three weeks (and complete artistic freedom) to create a ballet on professional dancers culled from ballet companies all over the U.S. After the works-in-progress performance on July 25, at the Irvine Barclay Theatre in Irvine, California, the choreographers will walk away with their new ballets to use as they please in the future.
