Six New Faculty Join USC Glorya Kaufman School of Dance

The University of Southern California Glorya Kaufman School of Dance announces six new faculty members for the program’s first freshman class this fall. Former Paul Taylor Dance Company member Patrick Corbin and Rennie Harris Puremovement dancer E. Moncell Durden will be assistant professors; Zippora Karz (former New York City Ballet soloist), Fiona Lummis (of Nederlands Dans Theater), Victor Quijada (director of Montreal’s RUBBERBANDance Group) and Desmond Richardson (co-artistic director of Complexions Contemporary Ballet) will be inaugural artists in residence. These six will join leading faculty members Jodie Gates, William Forsythe and Margo Apostolos. The USC Glorya Kaufman School of Dance will offer a BFA and two minors (in dance and dance in popular culture), with a 21st-century approach to choreography, studio practice, new media and scholarship.
