Be a Part of History: 9/11 Tribute Audition
July 17, 2013

Last fall, over 100 dancers performed a meditative tribute to 9/11 victims on Lincoln Center’s main plaza. Choreographed by longtime Martha Graham Dance Company principal Jacqulyn Buglisi, Table of Silence Project 9/11 returns this September 11 as a free public performance. It will be streamed live online, as well; last year it reached viewers in 25 countries. And this year, dancers everywhere are invited to audition for the event.

First, there’s a chance to get familiar with the choreography at Buglisi Dance Theatre’s Table of Silence repertory workshop classes, July 22–26, at Steps on Broadway. Then, the company will hold open calls at Steps August 13 and 14 with callbacks on the 15. Register by August 5 by sending an email with the subject “Table of Silence Project 9/11–Steps” to [email protected]. Include your full name, phone number, dance photo and resume.
