The winners have been announced for the 2012 Princess Grace Awards, and we’ve noticed more than one familiar face! Michelle Dorrance, our May 2012 cover star won in the Choreography category, along with Aspen Santa Fe Ballet’s Norbert de la Cruz and Bridget Moore, a teacher at Dallas’ Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and the subject of DT‘s “Teachers’ Tools” column in July 2012.
DT featured Gallim Dance’s Andrea Miller in our March “Face to Face,” and we are so pleased to hear Miller is receiving her second Princess Grace Award for Special Projects.
Awardees in Dance include James Callender, featured in Season 1 of Dance212, Ballet West’s Beckanne Sisk, who you may recognize from the show “Breaking Pointe,” Albert Gordon, Franco Nieto, Raymond S. Pinto and David Schultz. Congratulations to all the amazing artists who will represent the dance world at the Princess Grace Awards Gala in October.
