Open World—Providing Dance Training to Russian Orphans

These students from Orphanage #46 in St. Petersburg are members of former ABT dancer Ekaterina Chtchelkanova’s Open World dance foundation, providing dance opportunities to Russian children without parental care. Chtchelkanova is planning a visit to NYC for these and other children next month, during which they’ll perform at the Baryshnikov Arts Center, take class at the JKO School and attend ABT rehearsals.
